The Greater Oxon Hill Community Development Corporation (GOHCDC) here to help lead our communities to future prosperity and economic growth.
We are a 501c3 organization and our non-profit was established in 2011 by a group of local Forest Heights and Oxon Hill residents and business owners with support from local government. We teamed up out of concern for the prosperity of our communities.
The GOHCDC encourages economic activity and growth in both Forest Heights and Oxon Hill by fostering partnerships with businesses, residents, entrepreneurs and consumers to create a flourishing, inclusive, creative and welcoming community. We meet our strategic goals by educating residents and by holding events.
Our vision for the future is that, in time, the Forest Heights and Oxon Hill communities will be thriving and vibrant. During the day it will be bustling — full of people and businesses. At night, it will be a lively destination, full of interesting things to do for families and residents. Day or night we hope to develop the communities so that there are places to go for residents and visitors, young and old. People will stay here and move here because of the extraordinary quality of life.
