Developing and Improving our Communities
Welcome to Greater Oxon Hill Community Development Corporation. We are a 501c3 organization formed to enhance the communities of Forest Heights, MD, and Oxon Hill, MD, through charitable giving and the implementation of programs that improve local housing, the economy, public health and the well-being of the community.
At GOH-CDC we use a variety of strategies to revitalize our neighborhood areas. We partner with sponsors and other community organizations who engage in economic development activities – all in a focused effort to make both Forest Heights and Oxon Hill more attractive to businesses and residents.
Our Process
We are looking to work with small- to medium-sized local businesses as well as low income housing projects and seniors. These demographics give us the most potential for success. We utilize a three-tiered approach to community development:
- Realizing our Goal of Improved Economic Development
- Tutoring, Reading, Financial Literacy and Readiness
- Promoting the “My Brother’s Keeper” Initiative
Need Help? We Can Provide
Currently GOH-CDC is initiating a series of programs and events to spur our mission into reality. We sponsor senior luncheons, plan holiday events, such as our recent Veterans Memorial Celebration and Play Day. We also further the education and awareness of our community through such actions as hosting Tax Seminars and teaching Loan Preparedness Protocols to Small Businesses and other Organizations. But this is just the beginning!
